Randa Maddah

Randa Maddah (b. 1983, Majdal Shams, Golan Heights) is currently based in Paris. Maddah studied at the University of Damascus between 2001 and 2005, and attended Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design, Jerusalem in 2007. She is a founding member of the Fateh Al Mudarris Center for Arts and Culture. Maddah’s solo shows have included Europia Gallery, Paris (2015) and Gallery One, Ramallah (2016), with group shows at Espace Commines, Paris (2018) and Faux Mouvement Centre d’art contemporain, Metz (2018). Most recently she has participated in Palest’In&Out Festival in Paris (2015, 2016) and Morocco (2017). After achieving first place in the Albasel Award of Excellence at the University of Damascus in 2005, Maddah was named one of A M Qattan Foundation’s 12 Young Artists of the Year in 2008. She was awarded the Prize for Excellence/International Grand Prize at The International TAKIFUJI Art Award, Tokyo in 2018.
